SONY NW-A105

It is a media player that allows you to play audio files in high quality. It is a small handy device. It has an Android operating system, which means that many apps from Google are included as standard, such as Gmail, YouTube, Play Store, Maps, etc. You can also set up Apps yourself, for example Spotify. So you need a Google account.

You can also play videos on it. But the screen is very small, you'd better use your smartphone for that. This player's DAC is better than most phones and can also play high quality audio files. I only use the player for music.

On the side are buttons such as volume, play, track forward and back. Only if you press the play button a little too long, the Google Assistant responds. That is sometimes annoying.

If you don't use Spotify and only use the files on the player, you can enable 'Airplane mode', which saves battery.

Putting the files on it is just like iTunes. Importing the files first is the program. You can also create a playlist if you want. Then select the files and transfer them to the device. Also don't forget to transfer the playlist to the device.

You have different sound settings. I don't hear much difference whether they are on or off. The equalizer is the best way to adjust the sound.

What you could do is create a separate Google account specifically for this device. If you do nothing with it, you will hardly receive any messages and you can enjoy your music in peace. And there are hardly any privacy data.

+ Play in high resolution
+ Touchscreen responds well
+ Android operating system (Like telehone)

- startup takes a while
- Slower than telepfone
- Account needed, privacy sensitive in case of theft
