Bose QuietComfort 35II

qc35ii

Over the ear headphones. Bluetooth and wired. Bluetooth 4.1. 20 hour battery with noise cancellation. Hard Case for good protection. Micro usb to usb A. Audio cable 2.5mm to 3.5mm.

Sound

The sound is good. You can't adjust it with an equalizer. The sound therefore sounds a bit 'flat'. You hear the music as the producer intended. I connected them to Samsung S10plus. There is an equalizer on it, but if I move it a bit, the sound immediately sounds bad and softer. 'Dolby Atmos - Speech' I did turn on. The voices therefore sound clearer.
Normally there doesn't seem to be much bass, but if you run R&B or House, you really do get bass. The sound is also detailed. Sometimes I hear a special effect or something like that, then I look around the room it came from. Turns out it's in the music. I also have the Sony WH-XB900N. The app includes an equalizer, if you adjust it properly, you get a rich bass. I do like bass, that's why I think the Sony sounds a bit better. I bought the Bose because I like the noise canceling better.

Noice Canceling

The noise canceling of this device is very good. When you put them on and switch them on, the noise disappears like snow in the sun. In the summer months I have a portable air conditioner. This one makes quite a noise. When I put these headphones on, the sound disappears. To keep my lungs healthy, I need to nebulize with liquid. The compressor also makes a lot of noise. So while nebulizing, I put the headphones on and the noise is less bothered.

The noise canceling can create a kind of pressure on the ears (Cabin pressure). I had a bit of trouble with that at first too. It's a bit like the descent of an airplane. It wears off on me in the long run.

Comfort

Very soft pillows. Does not clamp hard. Deep enough that your ears don't touch the inside. The inside is also shaped so that the rear is deeper than the front. The auricles are oval. I often lie in bed listening on my back. If you move your head left and right, you won't hear any crackles. I do have that with the Sony's. They are a bit rounder.

Phone call

Calling is fine. I was in a noisy environment and the opponents could hear me well. And I could understand him well.

Bose Connect App

Contact with the app requires a lot of patience. When I start it, I get a running image. It only goes away with 'previous' on my phone. After trying several times you are finally in the app. Basically you don't need this app very often. There is another app (see next section) who sets it up the way you want it.

Bose Switcher

This app, I don't think Bose, is quite useful. These headphones have two noise canceling modes. Full (2) and Wind (1). I often use (1). Due to circumstances I need to hear a little bit about the environment. When you turn on the headphones, it always starts at (2). With this app you can set it to begin with (1). And also whether the music should be started right away. I turn on the headphones and open the app on my phone, I hear music and it's on setting (1).

Sometimes apps are lost on the phone. I close the app (Remove from App List) and restart the app.

Conclusion

Are you looking for headphones with good wide sound, good noise canceling and very good comfort. Then this is a good choice.

+ Good sound (Detailed)
+ Good noise canceling
+ Good comfort

- Bose Connect App does not connect smoothly with headphones
- With noise canceling some pressure on the ears
