Beautiful design. I really like the gray color. The clamping force may be a bit high at first, but that will turn into a good fit. I've had it for a while now and the clamping force is a lot less. It is still comfortable after three hours of wear. You hardly notice that you are wearing them and you don't necessarily want to take them off. The headband seems a bit hard, but it doesn't bother me. The space in the ear cups is also sufficient. I can't feel the inside. The ear cushions can get a bit greasy from your body, so if you lay them down with the cushions facing down, you may see an imprint.
ControlsIt works with a combination of physical buttons and touch controls. Works well. I don't use the touch controls myself, I often use the app. The on/off button is located exactly where you hold the headphones to put them on. As a result, it sometimes happens that the headphones turn off when you put them on.
The touch controls are on the right:
Double tap is PLAY.
Swiping up increases volume.
Swiping down softens volume.
Forward is forward track forward.
Towards the back is track back.
Physical buttons:
Right in the back center, short-press once : On/Off.
Press and hold: pairing.
Next to it, the assistant button. (Google, Alexa etc.)
On the other side, Noise Canceling button. Go through the three preferences. Can be set in the app (Default: 0 – 5 – 10)
Sound is very good. Basses exactly in place, not exaggerated but giving a full and warm sound. I also have other headphones. Bose QC35II. Also a good sound in itself. If you listen for a long time, the bass will emerge. Still, I think the sound of the 700 is fuller. I also have a Sony WH-XB900N. There's a lot of bass in there. Can be adjusted with an equalizer. I like to listen to music with a lot of bass every now and then.
CallingCalling with S10 plus went well. It was easy to understand. The other party did not hear my ambient noise.
Noise Cancelling en Transparency modeNoise canceling is very good. The low constant sounds disappear almost completely. Speech is also well suppressed. You can divide the Noise Canceling into 10 steps. '0' is Transparency mode. You hear the surroundings very well. Better than the WH-XB900N. You can set the Noise Canceling a little less so that you can hear voices (1 to 10).
App (Bose Music)The app works well. If the app is not working properly for me, I close the app and restart it. You can control the volume. Set the three Noise Canceling preferences for the button on the left. Three Band Equalizer. And more settings. A Bose account is not required. You can set a lot in the app.
Other featuresThere is a motion sensor in it. If you forget to turn off the headphones, they will automatically turn off after an hour (can be set in the app, on or off)
If you press and hold instead of tapping twice for PLAY, you will hear the battery percentage. Other functions are also possible in the app. For example, whether or not to listen to Alexa.
If you want to save the last Noise Canceling settings, so that they are remembered when you turn the headphones on again. That can be set in the app.
+ Good, clean and wide sound, bass in place
+ Noice Canceling and Transparency good
- On/Off button is exactly where you hold it, headphones can turn off when putting them on.
